About this calculator
How many epoxy kits a garage, workshop or basement floor needs for the number of coats you plan.
How it’s calculated
Amount = area × coats ÷ coverage. Typical coverage is 200–300 sq ft per gallon per coat at standard film thickness.

Tips from the trade
- Grind or acid-etch the concrete first. Adhesion is everything.
- Fresh concrete needs to cure for about 28 days before coating.
- Do a moisture test (taped plastic sheet) before you start.
Results are estimates for planning and pricing. Check quantities against your drawings, the manufacturer’s data and local building codes before ordering.
